"I just received my first issue ... and could not be happier. I subscribed to it sight unseen from your web page and expected an average magazine. Your magazine is far from average- it is excellent! Art is making a comeback in this country and you are making it happen." - Mike Stegman, Bellevue, OH more

Marine Art Thrives At Mystic

The Maritime Gallery at Connecticut's Mystic Seaport is presenting the 30th annual International Marine Art Exhibition, featuring 125 paintings, sculptures, ship models, and scrimshaws. Based in the U.S. and 11 foreign countries, the 120 artists selected to participate include Peter Layne Arguimbau, David Bareford, Ian Marshall, and Victor Mays. Their images depict ships and waterways of all kinds, marine wildlife, and people whose lives depend upon the sea. Admission is free, and a portion of all sales supports Mystic's preservation projects. The show closes November 15.
